AI-driven innovations and advanced products like ioRinse and Form 3BL are revolutionizing dentistry, promising enhanced precision and efficiency in oral health care.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the field of dentistry, ushering in a new era of precision, efficiency, and patient-centered care. The Journal of Dental Artificial Intelligence (JDAI) is at the forefront of this transformation, showcasing how AI-driven innovations are enhancing diagnostic techniques, treatment planning, and overall dental care. AI-powered tools like Dentca Design and Denti.AI are enabling dental professionals to create highly accurate 3D models of dentures and streamline oral health analysis, significantly improving patient outcomes.

In this rapidly changing landscape, products like ioRinse “Healthy Gums” mouthwash by ioTech International exemplify the integration of advanced technology with everyday dental care. ioRinse, with its xylitol content and alcohol-free formula, not only promotes oral health but also offers relief for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Furthermore, the Form 3BL 3D printing ecosystem by Formlabs supports the precise production of dental components, illustrating the seamless blend of AI and traditional dental practices in enhancing patient care.

ioRinse “Healthy Gums” Product by ioTech International

Before highlighting AI-powered solutions, we offer insights from the company iOTech International on its latest product iORinse as it greatly impacts oral health.

iORinse is a unique mouthwash that not only freshens breath but also actively promotes oral health. Unlike many other mouthwashes, it contains xylitol, which helps prevent cavities by reducing acid-producing bacteria. Another standout feature is its alcohol-free formula, offering a cooler and less harsh sensation.

“We can help with stemming and the dental industry if we can do these things to cancer patients; to get them to get chemotherapy and radiation to get sores in the mouth. They also get canker sores.

We can help with so many different things with iodine. This form of iodine is patented—what it does is amazing,” stated Jason Gerawinovich, Vice President of Global Sales at iOtech International, during the dental conference in Florida.

Did you know this mouthwash can be used for dogs? The iodine in iORinse is typically in low concentrations designed for human use, making it safe even if accidentally ingested by dogs. According to DVM360, the active ingredient, molecular iodine, reduces much of dental plaque formation in pets, promoting healthier gums and teeth.

However, dogs can be more sensitive to certain ingredients, so it’s wise to consult with a veterinarian before using any human oral hygiene products on pets to protect their well-being.

3D Models of Dentures by AI-focused Software Dentca Design

The Journal of Dental Artificial Intelligence (JDAI) is a specialized publication dedicated to exploring the broader perspective of dentistry and artificial intelligence (AI). It focuses on research, innovations and applications where AI technology is being combined with dental practice and oral health care. JDAI’s main goal is to assert improvements in diagnostic techniques, treatment planning, patient care and dental education through the advancements of AI.

Students at New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry have collaborated with experts, practicing teeth setup placement in dentures with a 3D software called Dentca Design. It’s an AI-focused software that produces models of different dentures in 3D-dimension and aligns dentures using digital technology that best suits the patient’s measurements.

A leader in the field, Dentca Design produced the world’s first 3D denture fabricating software in 2010 and continues to advance its technology. The company then launched DENTCA CAD/CAM Denture System to the entire dental industry in 2012. Following the necessary steps, the company obtained FDA clearance for its 1st gen printable denture base material in 2015 and the 2nd gen in 2016. The following year it became the first company in the world to be granted FDA clearance of 3D printable teeth material for DENTCA teeth, allowing it to receive a certificate and enter the EU market in 2020.

Dentca Design uses AI to improve the details of dentures designed by experts. The software uses computer programs that analyze digital scans and patient information to design dentures that fit each person perfectly. AI also helps Dentca predict how well dentures will work for each patient and create personalized treatment plans.

Increased Accuracy in Measuring Bone-level Structural Changes

The AI analysis through Dentca Design shows an increased accuracy in measuring bone level structural changes over time for patients 12 and older, resulting in faster and more accurate treatment recommendations thus leaving more clients with satisfying outcomes. As a result, an AI-perio charting program was created, called Denti.AI.

This program contains an AI-powered image analysis tool that expedites oral health analysis and measures radiographic signs of periodontal disease. Dent.AI also goes hand-in-hand with a machine-learning algorithm digital tool called Dentrix Ascend.

Dentrix Ascend is a digital tool that uses machine learning algorithms and data to assist dental professionals in creating successful treatment plans. It uses AI algorithms to create daily tasks, such as appointment scheduling, patient reminders, and billing. Dentists can now focus more on patient care and less on administrative duties, creating better workflow in the environment.

Combined with the dental-crafting software, Dentca Design, AI is expected to increase its accuracy in the dental industry, resulting in improved healthcare and proving its reliability.

Form 3BL, a Digital 3D Printing Ecosystem

Dentca Design uses the newest 3D printing ecosystem, Form 3BL from the company Formlabs.

Formlabs, the company that supports and helps health experts to integrate AI, has been leading the industry with its quick solutions for dental 3D printing. Form 3BL is designed with extended internal space for printing compared to earlier models. This allows for printing larger parts or groups of multiple smaller parts to fit into one unit per session, fastening the 3D-crafting process.

With this ecosystem in place, you can now achieve 24/7 production without the need for yourself or your tech to intervene. The machinery system processes information on its own with little to no intervention from experts. Based on the above content, it can be said that Form 3BL has advanced tools and specific materials for post-processing prints.

Overall, these products create a work environment that’s more efficient and effective.
