Preparing training with a simulated vital sign monitor is not always a simple task. The instructor can easily provide scenario training by selecting preset scenario vital sign values or manually adjusting values according to the students’ actions. This interaction makes it possible for the instructor to adjust vital sign values in real-time and conduct training with predictable and unpredictable student choices.

Instead of using mannequins, an assistant would play the role of an actor and react according to the scenario and students’ responses. Dr. Yamahata would be an instructor and conduct the training by selecting a scenario and changing the vital signs accordingly.
