Want to quit smoking? Bedfont is showcasing its popular line of Smokerlyzers at MEDICA. These easy-to-use, non-invasive carbon monoxide (CO) breath testers can determine the level of CO in a smoker’s blood. They allow medical professionals to establish smoking status biochemically, offer smokers visual motivation to quit and enable them to measure their progress while doing so.

According to the British manufacturer, people who smoke can build up high levels of CO in the blood, which can lead to heart disease, circulatory problems andhigh blood pressure.

One Smokerlyzer model, the Pico Baby, is designed to help pregnant women stop smoking. The monitor allows them to visualize the effects of smoking on both mother and fetus.
