The French company Cleanis has launched its innovative antimicrobial CAREBAG range to help control infections. Since the patient environment is often contaminated in hospitals, infection control is critical to patients’ daily care, explains the firm in a press release for FIME. The risk could be high in systems with overworked healthcare professionals or overburdened hospital services.
That’s why Cleanis Carebag AM26 is made of an antimicrobial polymer that is antibacterial, antifungal and even effective against Clostridium difficile spores. Cleanis claims that its new CAREBAG AM26 is effective on 26 strains, including the main nosocomial agents. The company recommends certain types of sanitary and liner bags for infected patients or those likely to be infected.
Cleanis was the Medical Design Excellence Awards 2015 finalist for its “relentless pursuit of innovative solutions for the optimization of care requirements and cost control.”
