Customed, German provider of IT solutions for medical technology and cardiology, revealed at the conhIT Conference in Berlin from 19-21 April its new Custo watch, an easy-to-use long-term ECG. As opposed to conventional electrocardiograms with adhesive electrode pads attached to patient’s body, the company’s innovative system requires just one, lightweight belt worn around the torso – the Custo belt.

The Holter ECG is recorded with this chest belt, transmitted wirelessly to the watch and is saved there. This avoids the waste of single-use electrodes and eliminates annoying wiring. For hygienic purposes, the belt can be washed for reuse.

At only 50 grams, the watch ensures patient comfort. Devices are charged in the Custo docking station. Finally, the Custo tera analysis software allows evaluation of the data once transferred to a computer.
