OrthoNOW, an orthopedic urgent care center created by a group of orthopedic surgeons in South Florida, presented at FIME its brand new app called “On My Way NOW.”
The app helps locate the nearest OrthoNOW center. It then sends a custom alert to the center, letting the doctors and staff know that a patient is en route, when they will arrive and why they are coming. The center is then ready to receive the patient and expedite their treatment by the orthopedic specialist on duty.
The app (free in iTunes and Google Play) also allows for a social media connection, in which users can look up services offered and more. Justin Irizarry, co-founder and CFO of OrthoNOW, led a workshop on disruptive healthcare-delivery model at FIME.
