A garment that can monitor vital signs anywhere, in real-time and 24/7, that’s Master Caution, developed by the Israeli company HealthWatch.
This new technology consists of electrodes seamlessly woven into everyday clothing. There is no need for special skin preparations like adhesives, gels, or shaving, and the garments are machine-washable.
Attached to the garment is a small device that constantly records and analyzes electrocardiogram signals in real-time to detect such events as arrhythmias, ischemia, respiration difficulties, falls, inactivity and body temperature.
Those events trigger an alert to the user, which also can be sent to the cloud via a smartphone or other device for retrieval by designated medical professionals.
