The new Peak Scoliosis Bracing System from the California-based company Aspen is an unloader brace designed to unload the spine, relieve pain and enhance the quality of life for adult scoliosis patients.

This adjustable brace is made to improve posture, enhance mobility and increase a patient’s ability to perform activities of daily living, the company explains on its website.

It also offers multiple configuration options to accommodate different patient needs, and the brace can be worn under clothing. Medicare and most private health insurance companies in the U.S. offer coverage for this treatment option.

Scoliosis affects over 6 million people in the United States, according to Aspen.
